Volunteer Information

Hello Kenwood School Families!

We are grateful for all those who generously volunteer their time to support our students. Your involvement helps make our school a welcoming and enriching place for every student.

To help ensure a safe environment for all students, California schools now have updated volunteer requirements per the guidelines of SB 848. Beginning this school year, if you plan on volunteering, you must complete the requirements listed below. All required links are listed, and we also have forms in our office.

• Complete a volunteer application online on Raptor Technologies.
• Complete a fingerprint/Department of Justice background check, (if not already on file with our district).
• Provide a current driver’s license or identification card.
• If driving on any field trip, please provide a current vehicle registration and insurance form with the applicable liability limits listed on the form.
• Provide a completion certificate of the required Mandated Reporter Training (Click "Staff/Volunteer Training," create a username and password and then save a copy of your Certificate of Completion. If you are having trouble, here is a video with step by step instructions: Self Registration Video Contact the office if you are still unable to register/take the training.  
• Provide a clear TB Test or a completed TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire administered by a licensed health care provider.

These requirements are to help protect the safety and well-being of all students and to ensure that volunteers understand their responsibilities while working with children.

We recognize that some people may have a current annual Mandated Reporter Training certificate through another school/district or youth-serving organization, so you may submit that current certificate to satisfy the training requirement for Kenwood School District.

Fingerprints/Background checks are to be completed at each location separately and cannot be shared between schools, districts or organizations. Kenwood School District will pay for the Live Scan at the locations provided on our form.
